Peacekeepers of the Vast/SUN Colossus

The Colossus is the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Solaran Union Navy's under development super-dreadnaught. Its model and design echo the design philosophy of many ships within the union: significant armor plating, system redundancies, and an excessive amount of backups, failsafes, and overrides. And, of course, more gun.

Designed to be a fleet-breaker, mobile armada command center, and planetary siege device, the SUN Colossus represents the most single powerful vessel ever conceived or constructed in ISL space. What it lacks in an understanding of the nuance and the grace of other race's more sleek and experienced spacefaring designs, it overcompensates for in the extreme with Solaran's practiced understanding of violence. Discussion of the Colossus outside the Solaran Union is met with mild concern about the ship's seemingly unneeded destructive power and mild worry about what the SU might use their vessel for. Many also add a scoff that the project will take many, many years to be completed.

Of course, underestimating humanity's knack for explosive industry got the ISL in this mess in the first place.

Meta-Knowledge

The Colossus is a giant slush fund used by the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Solaran Union to covertly finance a number of intelligence operations. Allegedly, this includes the Peacekeeper organization or may be wholly the Peacekeepers. The wildly conflicting information comes from unreliable and even hostile sources, so the legitimate truth is still mired in speculation.
