Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers

The Peacekeepers are an unofficial agency made up of unconnected cells of operatives. Their general mandate is to keep the peace on and between League worlds, and prevent war with rival powers. The entire agency seems to be made up of humans, which leads some to suspect that they are an extension of the Solaran Union. While there is no official record of the Peacekeepers, and they have no official association with the Interstellar League Expeditionary Service or the Interstellar League Criminal Investigative Service, Peacekeepers are often equipped with authorization codes and passphrases which can be used to exert authority as official ISL agents. Use of such privileges is frowned upon, and can result in a cell being disbanded as this compromises their cover as civilians.

Peacekeepers are drawn from all human walks of life, and not all of them come from careers that would typically be associated with intelligence operatives. The most common traits shared by Peacekeepers is a high level of talent in their areas of expertise and a willingness to do good for ISL member states.
