Peacekeepers of the Vast/Max Rezal
Template:TOCrightVery Special Operative Max Rezal, callsign Quadrant, is a member of the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers, part of the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Fabulists, tasked to the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Horkos and later the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Phonoi. Aged 28 Earth years at the outset of the story, he has been involved in the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Interstellar League Military his whole adult life, most recently a four-year tour as a Peacekeepers of the Vast/Solaran Union-sponsored ISLES special forces operative, flagged solely as an ISLES member.
Handy with his fists, various hand weapons, and anything that shoots, Max is also decently skilled with mechanical technological repairs.

Due to his origins on Trazinus, and his long history with the military, Max has become a part of the very small ISLES SpecOps team that operates without oversight from another organization. Most troops are technically detachments of a member polity's military, flagged dually; Max's unit operates directly under the ISLES military's leadership, and is flagged only with the ISL Pennant.
Publicly Known Information
Max is reserved but genial, usually preferring to solve problems with the judicious application of being Big and Scary and letting someone else do the talking. It's not that he's bad at stuff, it's just that he's better at other things. He's a soldier through and through, and likes riding his swoop bike to clear his mind. He's also been known to use it as a light cavalry option during planetside engagements, and as a quick and efficient vehicle for Special Operations.
His opinions on Peacekeepers of the Vast/galaktopolitikal considerations veer strongly against what you might expect from a Military man like Quadrant; despite his ardent and violent support of the ISL, he speaks quietly of the unrighteousness of arbitrary rule, and spouts socialist phrases from time to time.
He rarely shares much about his background or life before he was in the military; he will happily discuss his girlfriend Emily, though. If you catch a look at the inside of his locker, there's a picture stuck to the back surface of a wholesome, blonde, smiling Peacekeepers of the Vast/Earth farm girl in a winter coat.
He is a tremendous fan of Peacekeepers of the Vast/Sl'im J'iims, despite their poor reputation and negligible nutritional value compared to, say, a D-grade ration chip; he has also been known to drink large quantities of the stimulant beverage Peacekeepers of the Vast/Vö'rö's Bik'a.
Relationships with Peacekeeper Cell Members
Quadrant and Picasso were in a barfight together on an ice world, and were -- of course -- the last two men standing.
More recently, Max and Tiny were both arrested in the course of a covert operation; they spent a lot of time trying to convince the police that their badges and papers were legitimate, before being released with a quiet apology.
Meta Knowledge
Max is from Peacekeepers of the Vast/Siada. He got away from the place and has never looked back, joining the military academy and then signing up for a tour with the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Solaran Union fleet on the far side of the galaxy. During his time at the academy, the suspicion attached to a Siada resident being in the military academy drew the attention of the Solaran Union Military attachés at the ISL Military Academy, whose scrutiny led to a positive outcome in that his skills and dedication were recognized. Presumably, his continued movement through the military, into the Special Operations units of the Solaran Union ISLES detachment, are due to some level of continued support from the Solaran Union Military.
His girlfriend Emily is a trade specialist with Peacekeepers of the Vast/FormCorp. During the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Terhav VI Incident, she was in the galactic area and headed towards the Terhav system. Subsequent to her involvement in the aforementioned Incident, she has been converted into a Peacekeeper Asset, with Quadrant ensuring her safety from afar.
