Peacekeepers of the Vast/Trilinthians

Template:TOCrightThe Trilinthians are a species in the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers of the Vast/Interstellar League, represented politically by the Trilinthian Federacy.

Physiology

Roughly bipedal (most have four lower legs that move in pairs) and with two primary upper limbs, Trilinthians are from a primarily oceanic world and clearly evolved from (in an Earth comparison) a cephalopodian ancestor. They are amphibious, readily capable of existing outside of water, though their biology does require an environment that most humans would find uncomfortably humid; Trilinthians also possess a gill-like system for directly absorbing vital gases from water, allowing for easy underwater function. Both the upper and lower limbs terminate in tentacled appendages, all of which are more or less equally capable of manipulating objects. The species varies in the exact details of their presentation, including several head shapes, head fin configurations, and numerous vibrant skin colors. They are slightly larger than average humans, usually standing over 2.25 meters tall.

The Trilinthian Federacy

The Trilinthian Federacy is a forward-thinking, democratic, and peaceful polity led by a central federal government on Trilinth. Overall, the government is comprised of democratically-elected representatives from large landmasses and underwater megalopolises on several colonized oceanic worlds in the Trilinthian sector. Trilinthian culture has developed over the years to largely focus, regardless of geographic origins, on the importance of community and mutual support in the face of a harsh planet, and now a Vast Galaxy. As a broad stereotype, Trilinthians from the terrestrial areas tend to be more interested in offworld politics and exploration than their underwater comrades, who are generally more conservative and interested in the quiet and unmolested preservation of their planets and lives, even off of Trilinth itself.

Notably, the inhabited planets in the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers of the Vast/Cinefi system enjoys a remarkable level of home rule and autonomy from the rest of the Trilinthian Federacy; this is believed to be due to the deeply mixed population dynamics of the worlds, and the system's status as a Galactic resort destination.

The Federacy operates a small military, but a much larger peaceful exploratory force.

Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers of the Vast/Interstellar League Politics

The Trilinthians are a generally liberal force in the Interstellar league, believing above all in the importance of maintaining the commitments of the ISL to its members and their citzens.

The Trilinthians are the voting member sponsor for a portion of the associate members of the ISL, as outlined in the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers of the Vast/Interstellar League/League Charter. These include:

• The Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers of the Vast/Borth'aa

Trilinthian Technology

The Trilinthians as a species developed space-flight capabilities comparatively late, but had been aware of the Vast Galaxy for at least a century before their jump off-planet due to the necessity of advanced communications methods underwater. Understandably, Trilinthian underwater technology is second to none in the galaxy, and their fleets are routinely the choice of Peacekeepers of the Vast/Peacekeepers of the Vast/Interstellar League Expeditionary Service maritime operations.

The Trilinthians are known to have operated repulsor-swoop technology early in their technological history, though it is seen as somewhat of an antique piece of equipment these days.

The Trilinthians are regarded throughout the Vast Galaxy as among the best tile-makers known, and their mosaic art fetches high prices at auction across the Galaxy.
