The Solaran Union is the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Human interstellar polity in the Vast Galaxy.

Humanity had been experimented upon heavily by the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Zeta Reticulans in its past, leading to an interstellar agreement to not uplift Humanity, and to stop doing the butt stuff in general when experimenting without first obtaining enthusiastic consent.

Its recent acceleration into the interstellar world has been accompanied by a rush of colonizing in its near neighborhood. The Solaran Union is the newest Voting Member of the Peacekeepers of the Vast/Interstellar League. Its capital is on Earth, in the Sol system, but humanity has spread throughout the Sol system and beyond, colonizing hundreds of worlds and moons. While most Solarans are humans, there is a sizable non-human immigrant contingent with full rights and protections across Solaran space.

Solarans Union's rapid growth and general open-mindedness to other races allowed Solarans to quickly build an immensely powerful economy despite being behind in sciences and technology compared to more establish polities. Their starships, civilian and military, tend to be larger, sturdier, over-engineered and over-powered with redundant systems. Peacekeepers of the Vast/Solaran Union Navy vessels rely on shielding and weapon systems provided by other polities.

Solaran Megacorporations

The Solaran Union is home to a number of megacorporations and most ISL megacoprorations have a branch within the Sol System.

Known Solaran Union Planets

Solarans, due to their stubborn cultures and the powerful human immune system systems, have colonized a number of planets deemed unsuitable by most other League Races. Some notable examples are listed below:
