The Interstellar League Criminal Investigative Service is the overall federated police force in the Interstellar League. Their jurisdiction is broad, encompassing inter-polity criminal activity, ISL-related criminal acts (terrorism, sabotage, espionage) as well as attacks perpetrated directly against individuals in the ISL's civilian or military hierarchies. While individual member polities retain their own police forces, much like they retain their own militaries, there is broad cooperation between local jurisdictions and the ISLCIS.
